Hi, Just purchase a Mac and First Edge for our small business. Have since found out that there is no compatible Windows version of MYOB that will allow easy access to the datafile for my accountant.

Someone suggested exporting to Excel. I have attempted this but it does not seem to pick up any transaction made in the current financial year.

When I created the company file, I stated the financial year was 2009 (as I have 12 months of info to re-enter due to a *blinking* computer crash on the old machine). I have made a sale within the 2010 year and this does not come up as a selection choice on the Accounts Export Window.

What am I doing wrong????

Run a Balance Sheet Report and Profit and Loss report, save as a pdf then send the pdf to your accountant. These will give your accountant the totals in your accounts.

If you need to have your accountant actually access the transactions in your file, then I would suggest you upgrading to AccountEdge, may be a bit more than you need now but your accountant will receive a free copy of the software for the platform needed.
AccountEdge is cross platform where FirstEdge is not.
