Help.

Two bizarre things with the cash flow worksheet.

1. I have several recurring transactions in FirstEdge. For example, a weekly owner's withdrawal from the corporation. It's all set up properly.

But when I run the Cash Flow Worksheet (say to look 90 days ahead), it only shows the FIRST instance of that recurring transaction. No subsequent instances of the recurring transaction. I assume that this is just plain not working properly.

2. When I enter checks to be paid in the future, they also do not show up correctly in FirstEdge. Example: say that I have $2,000 in my account and today is 2/12/08. I enter a $500 check with the date 2/25/08 (in the future). In the Cash Flow Worksheet, instead of showing the transaction on 2/25, instead it shows TODAY's cash available as $1,500!

To sum up...my cash flow worksheet just does not seem to be working. I have tried this in a completely different file in FirstEdge, and have the same problems.

MYOB, anyone -- help.

Thank you.

UPDATE: MYOB Support was able to replicate the problem. Apparently they know about it – it will "be addressed in a future update." I've asked for information on when that will be, but have not heard back.

I still can't understand why these fundamental problems exist.

The cash flow and analysis parts of MYOB were going to be a bigger part of the project, but was not found to be a highly used part of it, compared to the reporting functions, so development on it has not been as strong as it could have been. Nonetheless, it is going to be addressed in a later update, no exact ETA's on this though.

Thanks. The thing I don't get, though, is that it is the exact same level of functionality in AccountEdge, and it works in AccountEdge.
