I'm trying to import transactions using the "receive money" option under the import menu. For some reason MYOB FE won't let me import transactions. When I look at the import log the error message says "Error -19: Unbalanced transaction.".

I have all of the required fields in my import file including:
- Deposit account
- Allocation account
- Amount

Shouldn't this be enough info for MYOB FE to create the 2 necessary journal entries?

When I edit the CSV file and separate each transaction into 2 lines (one with an allocation account and one with a deposit account) it works just fine.

I was under the impression that the "receive money" import feature (much like the entry feature) was designed to spare non-accountants from the double entry tedium.

Am I missing something here? I may very well be. I'm not an accountant Smile

Thanks!

Importing must be double entry.
