I use a Mac at home and Windows machine at my church. Can I open a file created with FirstEdge v3 on my Windows machine with BusinessBasics v2 and vice-a-versa?

I've read this on Businessweek recently. You need to install Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion 2. The cost has come down to about $60 now.

Cheers,

A technology with the user-unfriendly name of virtualization provides a much better answer. New versions of two very good products, Parallels Desktop for Macintosh 4.0 and VMware Fusion 2.0 (both $80), let you run Windows programs on a Mac so that they look almost exactly like OS X programs and behave that way, too.

The problem is the incompatible versions of MYOB.
If you had the full AccountEdge & Premier Accounting the company file would work on both Mac & PC.
