I am using MYOB First Edge, ver. 1 purchased in July, '04. I am using a new MacBook Pro purchased in Sept. 07 and my printers are older Epson R200 and Epson 2200.

Yesterday while doing my taxes, I was printing account transactions reports just fine. Then all of a sudden the program crashed every time I tried to print, no matter which printer I used.

I deleted the .flk file after every crash so I could reopen the program, only to have it crash as soon as I tried to print again.

I just installed the software update ver. 5.7.2 hoping that would solve the problem, but it hasn't. It still crashes when I try to print.

Does anyone have a solution for me? Right now I am saving the reports as PDFs and printing that way but would prefer to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a permissions repair?

I can not print the reports from MYOB so I go to print, then in the grey print box on the bottom left there is a button "PDF", I click that, on the drop down I click on "Mail PDF", then a new message from my email pops up and I email it to myself, then I can print it or save it in a folder

I have had this problem when trying to print AND when trying to save to PDF. Trashing the preferences seems to have resolved the problem.

The preferences file is named com.myob.firstedge.plist and it is located in the folder ~/Library/Preferences. Close FirstEdge, then trash preferences file, then re-open First Edge. It will create a new preferences file; you may have to reset some of the preferences.
