I am a retailer and am tired of having to spend hours entering data into USPS to ship a package. Does anyone out there have a solution?

Assuming you are on Windows . . .

If you use one of the PC postage products, there is an easier way. Note - I am not affiliated with Dazzle. You can also use the PitneyBowes shipstream manager software as described below (it is actually the same software as dazzle - but re-branded). I like dazzle because I can integrate it with my shipping software (see below).

In Dazzle (http://endicia.com/) there is a feature where the software will take an address from the windows clipboard. So - you get dazzle up and running, go into MYOB, choose the order, highlight the shipping address and hit <CTRL>-C. The address should show up automatically in Dazzle where you can print a postage label for it.

An upside to using PC postage is that Delivery Confirmation is free for Priority mail - and discounted for 1st class mail. You also get a discount on international shipping charges.

If you are looking at higher volume, you can go with their Galaxy Ship product - and integrate it with the MYOB ODBC driver - so you type in an order number, the software queries MYOB to get the shipping address - and off you go. Note that this will require some integration work on your side to get the database queries set up - and to get the ODBC driver working on your machine. Also - I only know Galaxy Ship through their marketing literature on the endicia.com website - I do not use it.

I use a front end from www.malvernsys.com that can print postage for USPS, Fedex, UPS, DHL, etc... It also queries the database to get the shipping information (although I go against my online web database - I am sure that I could have it hit MYOB instead if I needed).

Hopt it helps.
