Does anyone have any experience with configuring MYOB (version 9 or 10) with a receipt printer? I am trying to customize the sales invoice to print on a standard thermal-type receipt. Is this even possible?
To avoid buying a printer until I know this works, I have been practicing printing receipts on enveleops...
I don't see why it would not work. If you can get your computer to print to the thermal-type receipt printer then MYOB would print to it too. You can configure your forms pretty much any way you want. I would suggest trying to customize a form that squeezes the data you would want into the narrow width of the thermal printer as a trial and just output it to a regular printer.

Thanks, I'm successfully printing receipts on a STAR Micronics TSP100.
Have a related query: is there a way to make the item invoice columns (qty, amount etc.) dynamic in length? When I print an invoice, there is a great deal of space between the items and the subtotals. Is there a receipt form in MYOB? Thanks
I have not seen any fields in the form customization that can be dynamic.
One possible work around would be to set up a couple of layouts for the printing. i.e. 5 item, 10 item, 15 items etc each with longer and longer columns. You would then manually choose the one that is right for a particular receipt.

I actually printed invoices not receipts, customized a copy of the standard invoice form, using the text boxes and field boxes. Did most of the initial customizing using a regular printer, then switched over to the receipt printer for the final tests.
