Did you ever get a response on this?! I would like to know the same thing. My business makes a lot of cash payments out of the register and it's a nightmare keeping track. If there were a simple way of tracking such payments each day it would make life a lot easier....

Why not just keep a paper list of the payouts. Periodically, enter the amount paid out in Petty Cash and increase the appropriate Sales Account. Then pay the $$ out of petty cash and increase the appropriate expense accounts.
