Are there some online instructions on how to set up inventory?

I have an inventory of paintings to sell, and I just wanted to put in each panting, the price, and then be able to sell them, thus reducing my inventory.

But I cannot seem to figure out how to add even one item. Most paintings are original works, so there is only 1 of each item unless they are prints, can someone point me to the step by step instructions on doing this?

I don't know which one of those to read or look under. I looked at retail but it is only talking about check out solutions and I don't need that.

For each painting you will enter an item number and the name can be the painting name. This is done from Items List/New Item. On the profile select whether you buy sell or inventory. Sounds like you do all 3.
Once you've enter/defined your items, go to Count Inventory and enter the quantity of each painting you have on hand.
You will then be able to buy and sell paintings where the buy adds to inventory and the sell reduces inventory.
