I recentley had to reinstall Premeir Accounting 2006 on a new system as my old one died. When I just sent an invoice to disk for a PDF I get a Print error #5 message, but the PDF seems OK.
Also, turn off user account control if you're using vista. It's in your security center in the control panel. Turning this off fixed the printer error 5 issue we had on a Vista 64-bit machine that we have on the network.
To check your Default Printer, go into the File Menu, then into Print Setup and make sure that the correct printer is selected there. If you still encounter the error it is generally a Library/Registry error, uninstall MYOB and reinstall.
In saying that you can also get this error if the printer driver is incompatible with MYOB, update to the latest drivers and that has been known to solve the problem.

the printer we are using is an HP1018. There are some PDF files that it cannot handle, depending on the size and layout of the page. The MYOB printing issue was the result of an earllier attempt to print one of these PDF files. Thanks for your suggestions
