To MYOB Development Dept:

Here are some suggestions we have for future updates / versions of MYOB.

1. Ability to Print out Inventory labels
2. Allowing other major merchant portals (such as Authorize.net etc. - some MYOB users are in a contract with our current merchant providers). Also we noticed your rates are not as competitive as our current provider / or our local bank. We are currently paying 2.19% + .25 / trans. & only a $6.50 statement fee.

Since we are with another merchant, we have to copy / paste credit card #'s out of MYOB into another window.

However, after version 12 of MYOB, we no longer can copy/paste from the "Details" section (beside "Payment Method" on an invoice)

We have to go into the Customer's Card & click on "Payment Details" (It allow us to copy/paste from there) although it would be more handy thru "Details" right off the invoice.

3. When you click on "Details" in an invoice, you can choose to deposit to your checking account or Undeposited funds. Enabling other accounts to be chosen there would be a nice feature (for something like PayPal, or a second bank account etc).

4. It'd be nice to have some type of "Cash Customer" feature - most of our sales are retail customers which buy from us once & we never hear from them again so it's not useful for us to create a card for them. After a few years we would have thousands of cards.

That's the main suggestions. We are really impressed with the MYOB user friendliness, etc.

Thanks for your consideration! Smile

I have a card called
"Misc counter customer "
just for Misc customer that we use for Walk in people that we don't need to track
and a card for Website customers for we have over 100+ per week. To help track the website customers if we need to find that invoice we just put their last name and the order # in the PO and invoice # field.

I have been using MYOB since Version 1
Im still waiting for a search by address. But for now I just export my Cards to excell if I need to search by address or phone #

I still would like the Card file edit not be automaticly saved. I have lost many Customers cards because the Name gets erassed by mistake when someone hits a key on the keyboard when a card file is left open.

Search by address and search by phone # would be extremely helpful.

Also, in the customer name field on new sales form it would be helpful to be able to scroll down, with the arrow key, to the next customers after the auto fill has found the first customer that starts with those letters.
i.e. I type "Blo" and "Bloomer Auto" comes up in the customer window. I hit the down arrow and MYOB finds the next customer, "Bloomer Bakery". That would save me from having to type "omer B" to get to the next customer. Saves 5 key strokes in this example alone.

On the PC version you can get the list to pop up by pressing tab - or tab then space bar then tab again (depending on where you are - recurring trans list or customer list etc). Then use the up/down arrow keys.

Surprisingly the Mac version may not have some of these time saving keystrokes - like using the arrow keys to move around in a journal entry or in some ways on an invoice.
